Physical Risk Assessment
GPS-precise hazard scoring across every asset.
Six physical hazard categories assessed at coordinate level across four warming scenarios. Asset-level scores aggregated to portfolio dashboards and formatted for IFRS S2 Section 10a disclosure.
Every location. Every hazard.
Register assets by GPS coordinates, address, or what3words. Aretia maps each asset against global hazard datasets covering flood zones, heat stress baselines, water stress indices, wildfire probability, cyclone tracks, and sea-level rise projections. Portfolio assets are aggregated into a risk dashboard showing concentration by hazard type, geography, and severity — without requiring GIS expertise.
Six hazards. Four warming levels. One score.
Each asset receives individual scores for riverine flood, coastal flood, extreme heat, drought and water stress, tropical cyclone, and wildfire — at current climate conditions and at 1.5°C, 2°C and 4°C of global warming. Scores use a five-tier scale (Negligible, Low, Medium, High, Very High) calibrated to IPCC AR6 probability thresholds. The overall risk rating aggregates across hazards weighted by asset type exposure sensitivity.
IFRS S2 Section 10a physical risk output.
The portfolio physical risk report aggregates all asset scores into an executive dashboard — heat maps by hazard type, risk concentration charts, and an IFRS S2 Section 10a strategy section narrative describing the organisation's physical risk exposure and resilience measures. The report is published to client dashboards with a version history, and can be exported as a PDF for board pack inclusion.
